Description
To celebrate the 40th anniversary, ABC’s studio version of “The Lexicon of Love” has been remastered on Blu-ray at Abbey Road Studios! The album contains some rare tracks and concert performances that have never been released in Dolby Atmos before!
Although not a concept album, the English pop band’s debut studio album, originally released in June 1982, contains recurring themes of the singer experiencing heartbreak as he tries and fails to have a meaningful relationship. The limited anniversary edition is a reminder of the album that kicked off the 80s.
Alongside rare tracks and concert performances never before released on Blu-ray or vinyl, and the original album in half-speed mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, the album gets a brand new Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround mix by Steven Wilson. In addition, the anniversary edition includes the ABC feature film Mantrap in a first-ever HD restoration, as well as notes by Martin Fry and an essay by Record Collector’s Daryl Easlea.
