The debut solo album by Richard Wright, founding member and keyboardist of Pink Floyd, is released on Blu-ray Audio with new Dolby Atmos, 5.1 surround sound and a Hi-Res stereo mix by Steven Wilson. The Blu-ray is presented in a high-quality book format with soft-touch lamination and includes four collector’s postcards and an 8-page booklet.

Originally released shortly after Pink Floyd’s “Animals” (1977) and immediately before “The Wall” (1979), “Wet Dream” has often been underrated. But thanks to Steven Wilson’s new mix, this album is brought back to life in all its glory, and the brilliance of Richard Wright shines in every note. Wright wrote and produced the entire album himself, making it one of only three (“Broken China” & “Identity”) released outside of Pink Floyd.

Rediscovering this album, it becomes clear how deep Richard Wright’s influence on Pink Floyd went. His distinctive rhythm patterns, unique song structures and characteristic playing style are omnipresent on “Wet Dream” and shed new light on his unique talent and musical impact.

This special Blu-ray edition of Wet Dream features a variety of audio mixes, including the immersive Dolby Atmos mix, a 5.1 surround mix (DTS-HD Master Audio 96/24), a new stereo mix in Hi-Res (96/24) and an unaltered transfer of the original 1978 stereo mix. It also features Steven Wilson’s instrumental stereo mixes of the album’s four vocal tracks, as well as exclusive personal videos and an impressive photo gallery.

The re-release comes with brand new artwork commissioned and designed by Gala and Jamie Wright, Richard’s children and caretakers of his estate. This time the unknown person in bright red shorts swims in the deep blue waters of the sea instead of in a pool, and the image widens to show a boat slightly out of their reach, referring to the nautical theme of the record.
