RAUM is Martin Kälberer’s latest live project, an immersive, three-dimensionally produced live concert recorded on 15 and 16 March 2023 at GROUNDLIFT Studio in Stegen am Ammersee (Germany).

With this album, Martin Kälberer fulfils a long-cherished dream of making his music audible in three-dimensional space. With the help of immersive audio technologies such as Ambisonics and Dolby Atmos, the music achieves an unprecedented transparency and depth that puts the listener right in the middle of the sound action. Martin Kälberer has composed new pieces especially for this programme and has also arranged previously unpublished titles for this new setting.

Piano sounds, various instruments from handpan, percussion, vibrandoneon, waterphone to synthesiser and the voice (partly looped several times) float through the room and take the audience on an acoustic journey where you can immerse yourself completely in the sound. The congenial visual projections by Gene Aichner further enhance the two-hour experience.
