In late fall 1965, the Beatles entered the studio as celebrated pop stars—and emerged as independent, experimental artists who were redefining the musical landscape. Their sixth studio album, *Rubber Soul*, released in December 1965, marked this transformation: for the first time, the band viewed their album as a cohesive artistic statement rather than a collection of individual singles.

Producer Giles Martin, son of longtime Beatles producer George Martin, and sound engineer Sam Okell remixed the album from the original four-track tapes, using the “de-mixing” technology developed by Emile de la Rey’s team (WingNut Films) for Peter Jackson’s documentary “Get Back.” This brings the band’s spirit of experimentation from that era—such as the sitar on “Norwegian Wood” or the harmonium on “The Word”—to life with unprecedented clarity.

This Blu-ray presents *Rubber Soul* in a brand-new Dolby Atmos mix created by Giles Martin and Sam Okell, as well as in high-resolution stereo. The album is complemented by the music videos for the double A-side single “Day Tripper” and “We Can Work It Out.” Packaged in a digisleeve, the disc comes with a 20-page booklet.
