“Trixies” could have been their very first recording. Written by Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook when they were just 19 and 16 years old, respectively, “Trixies” is a concept album born of imagination and nostalgia. Inspired by a fictional members’ club conceived in the early 1970s and set in an imaginary “future” (the 1980s), the album transports listeners to a world reminiscent of a speakeasy in the 1920s or 30s – glamorous, smoke-filled and populated by colorful characters.

Although the album was originally recorded as a demo, it remained unreleased for decades. Now it is available in its complete form: with the skills of today’s musicians and producers—under the direction of Squeeze bassist Owen Biddle—Trixies combines youthful brilliance with mature artistry.

The Deluxe Edition includes the album, a second CD with the original demos from the 1970s and live recordings, and a Blu-ray disc with 24-bit HD audio masters. The immersive Dolby Atmos mix of the album was created by renowned mixing engineer Bob Clearmountain.
