Peter Maffay has been Germany’s rock musician for decades. With seventeen No.1 albums in a row and over 50 million records sold, he is by far the most successful artist in the German charts. So it was long overdue to present all his hits in an acoustic dress. MTV Unplugged by Peter Maffay is an absolutely unique concert recording that can also be experienced in fully immersive Dolby Atmos on Blu-ray!

Without any electronic aids or amplifiers, Maffay reinterpreted his hits and also some rarities from over 40 years of music career acoustically and with the help of numerous guests. Jennifer-Rostock-singer Jennifer Weist, singer-songwriters Johannes Oerding and Phillip Poisel, rock legend Tony Carey and Dutch pop singer and Common Linnets frontwoman Ilse DeLange will also be taking part. At the beginning of August 2017, Peter Maffay ensured a completely sold-out house at the Steintor Varieté in Halle an der Saale three times.
