“From Genesis To Revelation” is Genesis’ debut album and the first step on the path that has made the band one of the most influential forces in rock music. In a comprehensive new edition, this early chapter of the band’s history is now presented in unprecedented depth and clarity – prepared with the participation and approval of original members Tony Banks, Peter Gabriel, Anthony Phillips and Mike Rutherford.

At the center is a new stereo mix by Stephen W Tayler, which focuses more on the band’s playing and takes back the once dominant orchestral arrangements of the original album. On the Blu-ray, this approach can be experienced in full depth: In addition to the new stereo mix, the 5.1 surround version and a Dolby Atmos mix are available, all in 24-bit/96kHz. This creates a spatial listening experience that gives the band’s early songs a previously unheard presence.

The new mix is complemented by remastered versions of the original mono and stereo LP mixes, the associated singles and a whole CD with demo recordings from 1967 and 1968, including four previously unreleased tracks. The package is rounded off by a video call between Tony Banks, Peter Gabriel and Mike Rutherford at AIR Studios in London, in which they look back on the album and the new mixes, as well as a 68-page, richly illustrated booklet with an in-depth essay and contributions from the band members.
