At the heart of this edition is the Blu-ray disc featuring a newly produced performance film that showcases all ten songs from the album in chronological order—a 44-minute cinematic interpretation of the Nebraska stories, recorded at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, New Jersey, and filmed by Thom Zimny. This performance is available in Dolby Atmos, 5.1 Dolby TrueHD Surround, and high-resolution stereo LPCM, providing an immersive soundscape for this intimate performance.

The four CDs document the extraordinary creative energy of this period: 17 contemporary recordings (15 of which are being released for the first time) showcase the thematic and musical breadth that gave rise to Nebraska. Particularly noteworthy are the legendary “Electric Nebraska” sessions with the E Street Band—complete band versions of eight Nebraska songs that reveal the original approach before Springsteen opted for the minimalist solo recording. These electric interpretations offer a fascinating alternative to the familiar acoustic version.

The edition is supplemented by solo home recordings and studio outtakes, including the demo version of “Born in the U.S.A.” and previously unreleased songs such as “Losin’ Kind,” “Child Bride,” and “Gun in Every Home.” The original album, remastered in 2025, rounds off this comprehensive documentation.
