With For Real, Berlin duo Booka Shade presents its twelfth studio album – marking the 150th release on their label Blaufield Music. The album is already out and stylistically follows on from the 2013 album Eve, with a focus on organic sounds and catchy melodies.

Many of the pieces are based on previously unreleased archive material. “We’ve wanted to dive into our archives and complete forgotten ideas for a long time,” say the two producers. “At the beginning of 2024, the time had finally come – now it’s for real.”

In addition to fresh productions, the new album also features several familiar tracks, including “P.I.N. 4,” “(Neon Lights) They Glow,” “Save Me,” and “Your Command.” All in all, “For Real” offers eleven tracks that open up a variety of soundscapes—sometimes thoughtful and calm, sometimes rousing and danceable. Booka Shade’s signature sound is characterized by meticulous production, warm synthesizer sounds, and subtle yet effective rhythms. Like earlier works such as “Dear Future Self,” “Galvany Street,” and “Movements,” this album is also available as a high-quality Blu-ray Audio Edition with Dolby Atmos Mix.
