“Gentō” is the debut album by Bioscope, the eagerly awaited project by Steve Rothery, founding member and guitarist of Marillion, and Thorsten Quaeschning, the creative driving force behind Tangerine Dream. Supported by Elbow drummer Alex Reeves, the musicians unfold an atmospheric sound journey in which classic progressive rock guitars meet rhythmic sequencer elements of the Berlin school.
The five instrumental pieces are inspired by man’s fascination with the moving image and unfold a multi-layered, cinematic soundscape that blends electronic and rock influences into an intense listening experience. The CD+Blu-ray digipack contains the complete album on both CD and Blu-ray in high-resolution audio formats.
