On this album, Thin Lizzy put everything into the music and took risks – passionate, energetic and distinctive. The Irish rock band’s debut album was released in April 1971 with the original line-up of Phil Lynott, Eric Bell and Brian Downey. In the same summer, the EP “New Day” followed, produced and recorded by Nick Tauber.

To celebrate the 55th anniversary of the debut, this deluxe edition is released with rarities, BBC sessions and previously unreleased music, including the studio track “Beggar’s Song”. Also included is a new stereo mix of the album by Richard Whittaker. At the center of the Blu-ray Audio is the album’s very first Dolby Atmos mix, also created by Richard Whittaker, accompanied by a 5.1 surround sound mix as well as the new stereo mix – each also in instrumental versions.

The deluxe set is housed in a sturdy 10×10 box and includes a 40-page hardcover book with detailed liner notes by Mark Blake (Mojo) as well as memorabilia.
